March 2009: Ray writes: "...Ellen's doing great! She's gained back all her weight, and she's up to 125 lbs. again. She has more energy than I do! A year ago they said she only had 6 weeks to live, but I think she is beating the cancer with her health food diet and and the exercise she gets working in the yard. The cancer is at a stand still and doesn't seem to be spreading...". Yes!
January 2009: Ellen is doing well, thanks to the wonderful folks at Hospice, and Ray's enduring love. Thank you all for your continued prayers and good thoughts.
February 2008: Ellen continues treatment, and to date, no secondary problems or infections are being seen. At this point, Ellen does not want surgery. The tumor is shrinking from the radiation treatments. Miracles do happen; please continue to send Ellen your positive energies and prayers!
09/17/2007: Ray uploaded recognition and awards Ellen has received in 2007. It is an honor to include these on the Web site.
09/16/2007: Ellen has cancer, located in the jaw and neck region. Ellen started chemotherapy last week. She will have 5 days of chemo, then 15 days off, and so forth until November, when radiation therapy will start. The doctors are trying to shrink the cancer enough to be able to operate. We are all praying for Ellen and Ray.
09/08/2007: Ray's wife, Ellen, has taken very ill. She is, fortunately, at home right now. Ellen is under a doctor's care. Ellen has another doctor's appointment next week. More details will be available then. Ray uploaded a couple of pictures of Ellen to post:

| From Dick Bachtel:
"My wife Linda forwarded your site to me and enjoyed touring thru your music, photographs, and bio's. Linda and I will both be thinking of Ellen and yourself and our prayers are with you and Ellen each day. I can say on behalf the VFW Post 8189, Crystal River, FL, our thoughts and prayers are equally shared by so many at the Post. Last night at the dinner was an example of how our members feel about Ellen. I have sent you via email all the photographs that I took last night and would only hope that some way they could be posted here for all her many friends could see and share in the moment of caring. Anyone wishing for copies, my email is rbachtel@tampabay.rr.com, would love to forward them on to Ellen's friends. God bless."
With pleasure, posting here:
