These Web sites are great resources for anyone who loves Jazz-influenced and Country music at its best. Ray was formally schooled in Jazz, yet always remained true to his Country roots. Ray has played with some of the best pedal steel guitarists in the world, and is honored to include those sites for you to enjoy as well!
Michael Sheehy has been in the radio and broadcasting industry for over 40 years. He's the original "Smooth Jazz" voice for over 50 radio outlets worldwide, and incredibly accomplished. In April of 2007, he launched his Internet radio site. Produced and broadcast from a converted stable in Burbank, CA, it's radio for people who like all kinds of music and all-in-good-fun humor!
Mike Elliot was Ray's fellow student while studying guitar with Johnny Smith. Ray didn't read well, so Mike would read and play, then Ray would play by ear. Although Mike is no longer with us, his music lives on.
Doug Jernigan is a Hall of Fame pedal steel guitarist. Ray worked with Doug when the Bakersfield Brass joined the Johnny Paycheck Show for a tour. "Doug is one of the great ones."
Ray met Johnny at The Villages, Florida. Johnny is an amazing blend of International Entrepreneur, Industrialist, Musician and Humanitarian, among others! Johnny is currently working on a new TV show, "Around the World Music Challenge", a must-see at: www.myspace.com/wwwjohnnyneoncom
Bobby's steel guitar playing is "smooth as silk". Ray met Bobby through the sweetsouthernsounds Web site, a live pickin' room. Ray and Bobby traded a few hot licks, and became friends via the Internet.
Jack Stoner's Web site. Jack is a retired pedal steel picker . He was the amp tech for the Little Roy Wiggins music store in Nashville, early '70's. This site has Jeff Newman's Profex II program listing used by steel pickers. Jack also plays guitar and bass.
